Touch-A-Truck is Cognition’s biggest annual fundraiser and welcomed over 1,000 attendees last year. This free community event gives families the chance to get up close to all kinds of trucks and vehicles, from fire engines and tractors to construction equipment and more. Enjoy a day of hands-on fun with carnival-style games and prizes, food trucks, and special guests like the Davie County Library. While admission is free, we gladly accept donations of any amount with a suggested $5 per person to help support our nonprofit mission. Sponsored by generous local businesses, this event is a fun-filled day of exploration, play, and community connection.

Since 2019, COGNITION’s Annual Carnival and Touch-A-Truck has become a cherished tradition in Davie County. It is an exciting day where children, families, and community members come together to celebrate learning through play. On Saturday, September 26th, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the heart of Downtown Mocksville will be transformed into a vibrant hub of imagination, discovery, and connection.

This beloved event is COGNITION’s largest annual fundraiser, directly supporting our mission to provide innovative, hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) learning opportunities for children and families throughout the year.

We are reaching out to ask for your partnership in making this event an unforgettable success and to help us continue the impactful work we do every day.

Bring your flavor to Touch-A-Truck! We’re looking for food and beverage vendors to help make this family-friendly community event even more fun.

Please note that vendor opportunities are limited to businesses serving food and/or beverages. We are not currently accepting retail, merchandise, craft, or other product vendors.

Touch-A-Truck is a fundraiser benefiting COGNITION, and participating vendors are asked to donate 10% of their total event sales back to COGNITION. In return, your business will be promoted through COGNITION’s social media platforms and email communications leading up to the event.

Important Vendor Information:
Electricity and water will not be available on-site. Vendors are responsible for providing their own power, water, equipment, and other resources needed to operate.
